ENG 210 - Language and Power A survey of rhetorical tools leaders have used throughout history to change their societies. Students will analyze how these tools function within speeches, letters, essays, and other literary texts that have persuaded audiences to think, feel, and act in new ways. By modeling such writing in their own essays, students will practice using these tools to address contemporary social issues while discussing the ethical concerns that responsible citizens must consider whenever they use rhetoric.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 140 or equivalent.
