PSY 680 - Practicum in a Clinical Mental Health Setting Credit(s): 5 The practicum experience provides students the opportunity to engage in the orientation to and practice of clinical mental health counseling in an agency setting. Practicum students perform a variety of counseling activities including client assessment and treatment using effective individual and group counseling skills with clients based upon sound professional principles. A grade of “B-” is required in the course to enroll in PSY 690 . Students who do not earn a minimum grade of “B-” on the second attempt of this course will not be allowed to continue in the program. Prerequisite(s): Completion of all coursework.
