EDU 567 - Inclusive Schools and Communities Credit(s): 3 Offers the student a first-hand look at the process of screening, referring, evaluating, and placing school-age learners in educational settings where they can benefit most from the educational services available to them under the law. Emphasis is placed on the inclusive school and community, where disabled and nondisabled learners are educated together in classrooms, and educational services are brought to the classroom instead of bringing the learners to the services. Strategies for successful collaboration and inclusion are included.
