INTD 515 - Politics and Poverty Credit(s): 4 This course considers competing philosophical ideologies and how they impact what one thinks about poverty and what can be done to address it. The point of this scrutiny is twofold: (1) to expose any misconceptions one might have concerning political ideology and the practice of politics as they relate to poverty, and (2) to gain a better understanding of the roles that philosophy play in political theory and the practice of politics with respect to poverty. This course counts toward the Racial Reconciliation and Community Restoration Certificate and may be used as an elective toward the Master of Liberal Studies degree.
