PSY 660 - Pre-Practicum in Mental Health Counseling Credit(s): 1 This pre-practicum course introduces graduate counseling students to clinical mental health delivery systems, professional counseling roles, and practice settings through service learning in community mental health agencies. Students are expected to participate in 100 hours of field work experience during their first year in the program as partial fulfillment of the pre-degree experience requirements for Florida licensure. Students enroll in this course in the spring term of their first year. . A grade of “B-” is required in the course to enroll in PSY 680 . Students who do not earn a minimum grade of “B-” on the second attempt of this course will not be allowed to continue in the program.
