INAF 352 - International Human Rights Credit(s): 4 The concept that people have rights because they are human, and not because they are the citizens of a given state is relatively new. This course considers how nations and international organizations protect people from arbitrary interference with life, liberty and equal treatment of the law and how interpretations vary across countries and cultures. Specific human rights challenges will receive special attention.
