Curriculum
The MPH program is a 49 credit hour curriculum that begins in the fall semester. To accommodate working professionals, classes are offered on weeknights and include some blended classes. Two-year and three-year tracks are available.
Students will be required to complete a sponsored practicum (internship/fieldwork experience). Students may register for this experience at any time following the successful completion of the first semester with permission from the program director. The Practicum must consist of a total of 4 credit hours that may be completed during one semester or over the course of multiple semesters.
The curriculum has been designed to meet the requirements of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
Program of Study
Students begin the program in the fall term each year and proceed through the course sequence as a cohort. Classes are designed with working professionals in mind, meeting evenings. The program can be completed full-time (2 years) or part-time (3 years). The cohort feature allows for the development of a community of learners who come together and support one another in pursuit of their academic and professional goals. Courses may be offered on weekdays in the evenings. Unless an exemption is granted by the program director, courses must be taken in the sequence below.
