Rollins’ Commitment
- Provide access to an academic advisor to assist with mapping out a semester-by-semester degree completion plan.
- Provide an advisor to discuss degree progress prior to registration each semester.
- Provide the students with the necessary tools to monitor degree progress.
- In the event a required course is not accessible or available by the start of the last (8th) semester, one of the following options will be provided at the discretion of the student’s major department chair, academic advisor and dean of the college (or designee):
- Enrollment in an independent study or tutorial;
- Waive or apply a course substitution for a missing requirement;
- If neither of the above is an option, Rollins College will waive tuition and related course fees for any credits needed for degree completion beyond the fourth year at Rollins College. Students will be required to apply for financial aid by filing a FASFA and will have one academic year to complete any remaining credits and still be eligible for a tuition waiver.
Eligibility Criteria
- All first-time degree-seeking students entering in the fall semester.
- Students may declare double majors and finish within four years, however, Rollins College cannot ensure that a student will complete more than one major in four years. This assurance does not require Rollins to provide additional coursework beyond the fourth year to complete a double major.
- Students who change majors after the fourth semester of enrollment must meet with an advisor to develop a new plan and determine if graduating within four years is still a viable plan.
- Athletes who extend their eligibility to compete beyond the fourth year are not eligible.
- Students enrolled in a 3/2 program are not eligible.
Student’s Committment
- Register at your scheduled day & time each semester (i.e. clear all registration holds prior to then).
- Meet with the academic advisor and secure approval to register each semester in advance of scheduled registration date and time.
- Accept any available section of a course required for graduation that can be accommodated in the student’s schedule.
- Achieve minimum grade requirements on all general education and major courses on the first attempt.
- Maintain a 2.25 cumulative GPA throughout their enrollment at Rollins and may not earn a semester GPA below 2.0 at any time.
- Earn a minimum of 32 credits during the first year, and 36 credits each subsequent year.
- Maintain continuous good academic, honor code and conduct standing.
- Immediately notify the academic advisor when unable to register for any course required to graduate (major or general education) on time.
- Apply to graduate by the published deadline for graduation applications.
