CMC 235 - Media and Violence

This course explores the cultural appeal of depictions of violence in media ranging from film and TV to social media, and genres ranging from film to sports, journalism, and political discourse. Students will use critical cultural theories about violence and non-violence to understand and analyze current media texts.
