ANT 250 - Cultures of South Asia This course introduces students to the anthropological study of South Asia, which includes Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and the Maldives. Readings will cover several major themes of importance in in contemporary South Asia, including post/colonialism, caste, religion, politics, nationalism, gender, marriage, language, land, development, media, and labor.
