CPY 667 - Neuroscience for Counseling and Psychotherapy Credit(s): 2-3 This course focuses on enhancing therapeutic and diagnostic skills incorporating neuroscience theories for advanced work in clinical settings. Course topics include social and psychological adaptations, neurological processes associated with cognitions, perceptions, emotions and behaviors, neuroplasticity, neurogenesis, epigenetics and various psychoactive pharmacological agents commonly used in the treatment of mental disorders. Prerequisite(s): CPY 510 , CPY 525 , CPY 530 and CPY 538
