ARH 343 - Global Trade in African Textiles

Through an in-depth look at the players involved and the changing circumstances of conducting business in East Africa during the colonial period, this course aims to use African women’s insatiable desire for fashionable textiles as a nexus through which global trade can be understood, ca. 1850-1965.
