MGT 556 - Executive Leadership in Action

This course takes students off campus to visit innovative organizations where they learn firsthand from founders and senior leaders and take behind-the-scenes tours of operations. The selected companies showcase a variety of leadership philosophies, operational strategies, and value-creation models. Students network face-to-face with market-shaping executives who provide candid insights into the real-world challenges and triumphs of leading a successful organization. Through in-depth discussions and analyses of successes and failures, students gain a deep understanding of what shapes the leaders’ choices about company strategies and operations. Students debrief the visits with faculty experts to synthesize the lessons learned and apply these lessons to their own organizations.
