Minor Requirements
Six (6) courses are required for the Asian Studies minor. Students will take two (2) required courses; three (3) courses must come from the history and culture category; two (2) from political economy, and one (1) course in an Asian language at any level. No more than three (3) courses may be taken in any one department and no more than three (3) languages courses may be counted toward the minor. Note: A variety of ASA approved courses are offered each semester. These courses are designated as counting for ASA in the ‘Comments’ section of the online schedule of courses. A maximum of one rFLA course may be used toward the ASA minor. Required Courses (2 courses)

Foreign Language (1 course)
One (1) course at any level in a single Asian language is required. Students are encouraged to take these foreign language courses in the host country. Departmental Policies
- At least three (3) of the courses for the minor must be taken at Rollins, and of these two (2) must be upper division.
- Three Asian language courses may count toward the minor but at least one Asian language at any level is required. Students can take up to two (2) additional Asian languages which may count for the history and culture or the political economy categories.
- Students may enroll in ASA 203 or ASA 303 but cannot receive credit for both.
