PSY 660 - Pre-Practicum I Credit(s): 1 This pre-practicum course introduces graduate counseling students to either: 1) clinical mental health delivery systems, professional roles, and practice settings through service learning in community mental health agencies; or, 2) to professional social justice and advocacy roles through service learning in community organizations and agencies. Students are expected to participate in 100 hours of fieldwork experience during their first year in the program as partial fulfillment of predegree experience requirements for Florida licensure. Students can begin Pre-Practicum I as early as their first semester in the program. Full-time track students enroll in this course in the summer term of their first year. Part-time track students enroll in this course in the spring term of their second year. The course is graded A-F. Students must successfully complete PSY 660 in order to register for PSY 661 Pre-Practicum II
