BUS 331 - Financial Statement Analysis The objective of this course is to develop the students ability to think critically about the information presented in financial statements. While the focus on this class will not be financial accounting rules, students will be expected to know or learn enough about accounting rules and regulations in order to properly interpret the information for analytical purposes. The ability to read, interpret and properly analyze financial data will ultimately be used to assess a firm’s current position, forecast future performance, develop financial plans/budgets, and evaluate corporate valuation.
